Incredible! Bird turns to woman near church in Lagos.

Police officers at the Ejigbo Police Station are investigating a strange case of a lady who is alleged to have changed from a bird to a human being.

The incident National Daily gathered happened Monday morning and the mysterious woman identified as Dorcas Folorunsho confessed she was coming from a mission and did not know what happened to her before she crashed into a gutter.

The suspect was handed over to the police by residents of Silver Estate, Ejigbo and on interrogation, it was gotten that the suspect hails from Ile Ife and resides at Oremeji Street, Isolo, a suburb in Lagos State.

A resident who spoke to National Daily on condition of anonymity said a man raised alarm early in the morning when he went out to fetch water at the back of the building and saw a big bird lying inside the gutter.

“When the man saw a bird of such size, he was frightened and went to call his brother who lives with him.  It was when they got there that they saw the bird transforming into a human being,’ he said.

Alarmed at the strange occurrence, they raised alarm and people came out with sticks but cautioned themselves to interrogate the strange lady.

“When they all got to the gutter, they saw that the bird has turned  fully into naked woman, so they started asking her question but she did not say anything. Later, one of the resident brought clothes for her to wear. But they started beating her up and were stopped by someone who called the police,” said another resident who saw her being handed her over to the police.

The suspect was looking dazed with her eyes flashing around; she appeared lost and had few bruises on her suggestive she was assaulted.

According to a police source, the suspect, under interrogation, said they were six in numbers coming from a mission before she crashed.

The police told our reporter that proper investigation will take place to uncover the where about of the other five members the suspect is alleging. The suspect was later transferred to Area D Headquarters, Mushin for further investigation.

National Daily also gathered that a church, Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) close to the scene where the woman was found held a 3-day prayer programme that ended the penultimate night the incident occurred making some of the people insinuate the alleged “human-bird” fell as a result of the prayers offered by the church.

Unsubstantiated claims of persons turning into animal especially birds have been on in Nigeria as many believe that the incidents are usually associated with witchcraft practices in the country. It would be recalled that a man was burnt to death in Benin, Edo State in Nigeria when residents accused him of being a witch that fell from the sky some few years back.
